In a major new announcement, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has approved the development of Al Layan Oasis, a transformative desert tourism destination forming part of a broader AED 4 billion green development package.

The Al Layan Oasis Tourism Project represents one of the most ambitious environmental and leisure-focused expansions in Dubai’s recent history. Designed as a one-million-square-meter desert lifestyle hub, the project blends sustainability, recreation, and tourism into one large-scale master plan.

Project Overview

Al Layan Oasis will span approximately 1,000,000 square meters, anchored by a 250,000 square meter lake that will dramatically reshape part of Dubai’s desert landscape. The project also includes 14 kilometers of walking and cycling tracks, encouraging outdoor activity and eco-friendly mobility.
